This book is considered a classic in Christian apologetics and has been described as the best argument that has ever been written for the Gap Theory, a theory which describes an indeterminate gap of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. This third edition is the fifth time this book has been reprinted, and is the only edition which contains all the Hebrew and Greek characters of the first edition, in addition to the transliteration that was added in the second edition. Additional information includes an essay by Evelyn White describing how Dr. Custance first published Without Form and Void in 1970, and an introductory essay by Gary Chiang and Evelyn White (the editors), entitled “Origin Matters,” which reflects on how Arthur’s thoughts penned over 50 years ago continue to impact faith and science today.
