The Meaning of Hayah with Various Particles Following.

 

1.   followed by   meaning "to become like " someone:

Gen. 3.5:     "Ye shall become like God...."

Gen. 18.25:   "that the righteous should become as the wicked".

I Sam. 17.36: "the Philistine shall become as one of them".

Isa. 24.2:     "The people shall become like the priest, the servant

shall become like his master, the maid shall become

like her mistress, the buyer shall become like the

seller, the lender shall become like the borrower,

the taker of usury shall become like the giver of usury

to him."

Hos. 4.9:     "The people shall become like the priest".

2.   followed by   meaning "to go with" or "accompany",

"support", "to be in fellowship with":

Gen. 26.3:    "Stay in the land and I will be with thee...."

Gen. 4 8.21:   "Behold I die but God will be with you...."

Josh. 1.5:    "As I was with Moses, so I will be with you...."
